Biography

Thunda, at 25 years of age, resides in the downtown area of Columbus, Ohio. He has been writing and producing music for 12 years, using keyboard as his main means of production. While his three children are his core motivation, his work is the result of a desire to be an artist in the industry willing to write music with meaning.

Steps To Success

• Appearances on MTV2’s the Fight Klub DVD with International P and Executive Nick.
• The C&S Restaurant and Lounge Freestyle Battle Competition Champion against 30 contestants in Columbus, Ohio.
• Worked with the Legendary Mix Master Ice of UTFO and performed at many of his shows.
• Worked with DJ Kid Magic Rock on numerous occasions leading to three successful CD releases in two years.
• Performances in over 7 states and 300 shows since 2002.
• Opened for Tha Dogg Pound at Skully’s Bar in Columbus, Ohio.
• Opened a show with Ray Cash on a Ohio Music Tour at Club Chiamos
• Discussed label potential with Luna “Rika” Reid, former engineer for Outkast’s Stankonia and owner of Stankonia studios.
• DJ 618, one of the most popular Disc Jockeys in St. Louis, added Thunda to his show at Club Soft Touch in 2006, which made it to the STL DVD for his birthday party.
• Performed at Club Casino in St.Louis.
• In 2006, encounters with J-Nicks from Rap City The Basement, made is possible to pass on a demo and work with Fyreboy Records.
• In 2006, recorded two songs with The Game Officials, Nelly’s nephew in St. Louis
• During his second round in Ohio Idol, he was scouted by STORM, a super producer who has worked with such artists as Lil Wayne, Mary J. Blige, Usher, and Beyonce. As a result, Thunda flew to California and recorded three tracks produced by STORM.
• His song “Choppaz” was placed on Hood Certified Mixtape, hosted and created by Charli Marli in Florida, which was then distributed in over 20,000 copies throughout the southern United States.
• He has filmed 4 music videos independently, and has music, specifically “Down Tha Way/Wacky Wood Remix” and “Head Under Water”, hosted on over 8 websites which has lead to a platinum and silver Audi Award from uplaya.com.
• Songs are currently being featured on Cleveland, Ohio radio stations, as well as 97.1 WSSE internet radio.
• Showcased on sexy1000clubradio, which was hosted by the lingerie boss, and broadcasted Atlanta where he won a talent competition and was showcased live.
• The Thunda Records Brand is supported most in OH, WV, LA, VA, St.Louis, AL, and last but not least Atlanta. Independant distribution of over 75,000 CDs between 2002 and 2009, 9 recorded albums, and 3 mixtapes for a combined total of over 200 songs.
